摘要 <p>Use of highly functional, highly branched or hyperbranched polyesters, as a bonding agent in printing inks, a thixotropic agent, a building block for the preparation of polyaddition or polycondensation polymers, paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, cast elastomers or foams, and as a component of binders optionally with isocyanates, epoxy group-containing binders or alkyd resins in adhesives, printing inks, coatings, foams, coatings, and paints, is claimed. Use of highly functional, highly branched or hyperbranched polyesters, as a bonding agent in printing inks, a thixotropic agent, a building block for the preparation of polyaddition or polycondensation polymers, paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, cast elastomers or foams, and as a component of binders optionally with isocyanates, epoxy group-containing binders or alkyd resins in adhesives, printing inks, coatings, foams, coatings, and paints, is claimed, where the highly functional, highly branched or hyperbranched polyesters: have a number average molecular weight of at least 500 g/mole and a polydispersity of 1.2-100; and are obtained by reacting an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic dicarboxylic acid or their derivatives with at least one beta ,beta ,beta ',beta '-tetra(hydroxymethyl) cycloalkanol or at least one beta ,beta ,beta ',beta '-tetra(hydroxymethyl)cycloalkanol containing reaction mixture, where the ratio of reactive groups in the reaction mixture is selected such that a molar ratio of hydroxyl groups to carboxyl groups or their derivatives is 5:1-1:5, preferably 2:1-1:2.</p>
