<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe connection method and a pipe joint which can repair heartbreaks formed on the outer periphery of a pipe so as to improve the sealing ability of a portion where a sleeve has bitten into the pipe. <P>SOLUTION: By screwing a nut 14 onto a joint body 13, the sleeve 15 is deformed so that a head section 15a is pressed against an outer peripheral surface 12b of the pipe 12. After that, by further screwing the nut 14 onto the joint body 13, the sleeve 15 formed integrally with the nut 14 is rotated while being pressed against the outer peripheral surface 12c, and as a result, the heartbreaks 12c formed on the outer peripheral surface 12b of the pipe 12 are repaired. Thereafter, by further screwing the nut 14 onto the joint body 13, the sleeve 15 is cut off from the nut 14 and the head section 15a of the sleeve 15 is forced to cut into the recovered part 12d of the pipe 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
