PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film having little irregularity in thickness and superior in applications for especially a carrier for an electric control panel and a cover lay film for protecting FPC and to provide a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: The polyimide film with a width of≥500 mm has a thickness uneveness of≤1.0μm in the width direction of the polyimide film and a linear thickness uneveness of≤0.7μm in a range of≤10 mm width.
