PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation lever for a bar handle vehicle having a structure which can increase the strength of a knocker, and can more surely perform the pressing operation of a piston under a stable state. SOLUTION: The operation lever 4 of a hydraulic master cylinder 3 is divided into a lever body 22 made by casting and a knocker 23. The operation lever 4 for a bar handle vehicle is pivoted by a lever holder 6b of a cylinder body 6 with a pivot 21 under a state wherein the knocker 23 is inserted in a knocker insertion section 22h which is formed between an upper arm and a lower arm of the turning base section of the lever body 22. In the operation lever 4, the shapes of the upper surface 23d and the lower surface 23e of the knocker 23 are formed into a tapered surface corresponding to the draft of the mold which is provided on the surfaces counter to the upper arm 22e and the lower arm 22f of the lever body 22 in which the knocker 23 is inserted.
