PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade the insufficiency of a read/write margin accompanying the higher speed rotation of a recording medium and to stably maintain a focus servo and tracking servo state. SOLUTION: The optical storage device having a revolving motor for rotating the optical recording medium at≥2 kinds of numbers of revolutions is constituted such that it includes a measuring means for measuring the eccentricity of the loaded optical recording medium and a control means for lowering the number of revolutions when the measured eccentricity exceeds a reference value.
