PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire for wire harnesses which is superior in shielding performance, manufactured at low cost, and easily connected to connectors. SOLUTION: The electric wire comprises a conductor 10, an insulating layer 30 formed outside the conductor 10, and a shielding layer 50 formed outside the insulation layer 30. A semiconductive paint layer 50B is applied to the shielding layer, rather than braided materials. Application of the semiconductive paint 50B facilitates formation of the shielding layer and results in the cost reduction of the wire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
