PURPOSE: An image reading device and an image forming device are provided to reduce the intensity of radiation of the light radiated to read surface by reflected light from read surface. CONSTITUTION: A light source(61) is listed in a column shape. The plurality of light source irradiates the light. A light guide member(65) guides the plurality of light source of the light to read surface(GA). The light guide member transmits the reflected light of the read surface. A carriage(18) includes a plurality of light source and the light guide member. A reading unit receives the reflected light of the read surface. The read unit reads the image of the read surface.
