PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of hermetically sealing and holding the portion around an image sensor and adjusting tilt with a compact structure. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a hermetically sealing and holding member for hermetically sealing the image sensor provided on an image forming position of a photographing optical system, and an optical element provided on the front of the image sensor; a supporting member supporting the hermetically sealing and holding member and restricted in tilting for a photographing optical axis; and an optical axis tilting adjusting mechanism for enabling the optical axis of the hermetically sealing and holding member to tilt for the supporting member.
