Method for determination of damageability of material by values of residual stresses includes deformation of sample. At deformation of sample one determines initial and end modules of elasticity and value of deformation, and value of damageability by residual deformations is determined by formula:, (1)where- coefficient of degradation of modulus of elasticity that is determined by formula:,where- initial modulus of elasticity- end modulus of elasticity;- coefficient of deformation of sample.
