PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism in which, even if a NWI/F circuit is standard equipment, when a use actually takes an option not to utilize a NW function, a program or hardware resources relating to a non-utilizing function are not uselessly operated for optimizing a use state, in addition to a program which obtains a network (NW)-relating function. SOLUTION: When a use takes an option not to utilize the NW function, an RJ45 connector 71 for connecting the NWI/F circuit to an LAN is clogged by a cover 8. A means is provided for detecting whether or not the cover is attached, the actuation of the program for use in the network-relating function is stopped according to a detection signal indicating attachment, and control is made to stop power supply to parts of the NWI/F circuit to conduct an energy saving operation. Cover attachment is detected by conductive detection between pins when an electric contact point 81 provided in the cover 8 is brought into contact with an unused pin among terminals 73 of the RJ45 connector 71.
