PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-profiled or downsized speaker that hardly causes a defect such as occurrence of abnormal sound or the like even when an input signal with a high amplitude is applied to a voice coil so as to reproduce preferable sound. SOLUTION: A damper for the speaker disclosed herein includes: an outer circumferential fixed part joined with a frame; an inner circumferential fixed part joined with a voice coil bobbin; and a support arm part for coupling the outer circumferential fixed part to the inner circumferential fixed part, and the support arm part includes: a first arm part coupled to the outer circumferential fixed part at the outer circumferential side and located on the same plane as a first plane specified by the outer circumferential fixed part; a second arm part coupled to the inner circumferential fixed part at the inner circumferential side and located on the same plane as a second plane specified by the inner circumferential fixed part and different from the first plane; and an arm coupling part for coupling the inner circumferential side of the first arm part to the outer circumferential side of the second arm part.
