PURPOSE: A strip and system for detecting a nucleic acid are provided to ensure high sensitivity and specificity and to quickly and accurately analyze a small amount of nucleic acid. CONSTITUTION: A lateral movement strip for detecting a nucleic acid comprises a support, medium, sample pad and absorption pad. A medium contains one or more kinds of capture having the nucleic acid. The nucleic acid of the capture is derived from HPV(Human Papilloma Virus). A method or detecting the nucleic acid in a sample using the strip comprises: a step of dropping a sample containing specific nucleic acids which are labeled with fluorescence or biotin; a step of moving the sample through the medium for specific hybridization of the specific nucleic acid in the sample with the nucleic acid of the capture; and a step of detecting fluorescence signal.
