<p>PURPOSE: A method for stabilizing waste asbestos by melting and a method for manufacturing slag using the same are provided to safely treat waste asbestos in the shape of slag or recycle the waste asbestos as aggregate. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing slag using waste asbestos comprises following steps. The waste asbestos is put into a high temperature melting furnace and is molten to manufacture slag. The silicon dioxide 10~20 weight% is put as additive based on waste asbestos 100 weight% during the melting of the waste asbestos. A method for stabilizing waste asbestos comprises following steps. The waste asbestos is put into the high temperature melting furnace and molten. The slag manufactured from the waste asbestos has totally different chemical structure with waste asbestos.</p>
