PURPOSE: An elevator with a horizontal moving section is provided to be rapidly elevated by using an existing elevating mode in a vertical moving section and using a driving mode in a horizontal moving section. CONSTITUTION: An elevator with a horizontal moving section comprises an elevator car(100), an elevator frame(200), guide rails(300a,300b,300c), guide rollers(130a,130b), multiple sensors, a controller, a bracket(310a), and a clamp(310b). The elevator car is reciprocated along a horizontal passage. The elevator frame is vertically moved along a vertical passage. The guide rails guide the elevator car. The sensors sense the position and speed of the elevator car. The bracket is installed in the guiderail in the horizontal passage. The clamp is installed in the guide rail in the elevator frame and is connected to the bracket.
