The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used for cooling the rolls of section mills of hot rolling. A cooling device for section mills comprises a rolled stock guidance device installed along the rolling axis from the side of exit of rolled stock from deformation zone, and two chambers for supply cooling agent installed along the guidance device on both sides of the rolling axis in the vertical plane. The chambers are formed by the surfaces of upper and lower parts of cooling device respectively and the rolled stock guidance device being common to both chambers. The chambers are made split, with a horizontal parting plane. The rolled stock guidance device, upper and lower parts are made with possibility of separate longitudinal movement. The areas of upper and lower parts turned toward the rolls in radial section have the form repeating the shape of pass. The invention allows simplifying manufacture of the rolled stock guidance device, partially replacement of the elements of rolled stock guidance device, regulation of the intensity of cooling the upper and lower rolls, as well as bringing closer the chambers to the surface of rolls. |
