A semiconductor device is provided to reliably process data irrespective of the variation of external conditions by generating a Y-address enable signal, using a system clock during a write operation mode. A semiconductor device includes a decoder(250), a Y-address enable signal generator(260), a multiplexer controller(280), and a multiplexer(270). The decoder receives plural internal command signals, decodes the received signals, and outputs a first Y-address enable signal. The Y-address enable signal generator receives the first Y-address enable signal and outputs a second Y-address enable signal having a predetermined enable period. The multiplexer controller generates a control signal, which is enabled in response to an internal write enable signal. The multiplexer receives the first and second Y-address enable signals, selects one of the received signals according to the control signal, and outputs the result as the Y-address enable signal.
