PURPOSE: A rechargeable battery is provided to form thin thickness of a separator by preventing the short circuit caused by a slitting burr, and to increase the capacity of a battery by thinning a separator. CONSTITUTION: A rechargeable battery includes: a first electrode in which an uncoated part(113B) is formed at one end of a current collector(111) coated by active materials(112); a second electrode in which uncoated part(123B) at one end of a current collector(121) coated by active materials(122); and a separator(130,130') interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. An insulating member is included between a burr generation region and a region corresponding to the burr generation region. |
