The present invention is related to the construction industry in general, and particularly to the construction of roof slabs, and mainly to an ecological roof structure and the constructive process thereof; the same is characterised in that it comprises a reinforced metallic frame formed by a metallic grid with poured concrete and a waterproof film located over the concrete; a concrete railing-molding located at the perimeter of the slab; a substrate layer (soil or soil plus organic mater and/or soil organic compositions) located over the waterproof film and plants that may grow in said substrate.
