An apparatus for use in a cooling tower system comprising a circulating fluid system. The apparatus comprises means for receiving an electrical signal representative of load on the cooling tower system. The apparatus also comprises means for controlling fluid communication of at least one chemical into the circulating fluid system in response to the electrical signal.
