PURPOSE: A genuine sesame oil evaluating device is provided to determine genuine sesame oil using the penetration characteristic of the light. CONSTITUTION: A genuine sesame oil evaluating device comprises a light source(14), a measuring unit(12), a first optical fiber(15), a second optical fiber(16), and a spectrophotometer(17). The light source emits the light used in the sesame oil truth discrimination. A glass test tube, which has edible oil, is placed on the measuring unit. The first optical fiber guides the light emitted from the light source to the measuring unit. The second optical fiber guides the light which passes through the measuring unit after being emitted from the first optical fiber.
