PURPOSE: A power train for a hybrid vehicle is provided to enable a hybrid mode of an input mode, an output mode and a composite mode to be realized using a set of stepped pinion planetary gear, a set of single pinion planetary gear, three clutches and two brakes. CONSTITUTION: A power train for a hybrid vehicle comprises a first set of planetary gear(PG1), a second set of planetary gear(PG2), a first clutch(CL1), a second clutch(CL2), a third clutch(CL3), a second brake(BK2) and at least two power sources. The first set comprises four or more independent rotation elements, which comprise a rotation element connected to an input shaft(IN). The second set comprises a rotation element, which is connected to the output element. The first clutch selectively connects two rotation elements of the first set. The second clutch and the third clutch selectively connect between two rotation elements of the first set and two rotation elements of the second set.
