PURPOSE: A power train for a hybrid vehicle is provided to enable a hybrid mode to be realized using only two sets of single pinion planetary gears, two clutches and two brakes. CONSTITUTION: A power train for a hybrid vehicle comprises a first set of planetary gear(PG1), a second set of planetary gear(PG2), a first clutch(CL1), a first brake(BK1), a second brake(BK2), a second clutch(CL2) and at least two power sources. The first set comprises a rotation element, which is connected to an input shaft(IN), and another rotation element, which is connected to an output element(OUT). The second set comprises a rotation element and another rotation element. The rotation element of the second set is selectively connected to the rotation element, which is connected to the input shaft of the first set. Another rotation element of the second set is connected to the rotation element, which is connected to the output element of the first set. The first clutch selectively connects the rotation element, which is connected to the input shaft of the first set, and the rotation element of the second set. The first brake constrains the rotation of the rotation element of the second set, to which the first clutch is connected.
