PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device and radio communication terminal which perform diversity reception and widen the frequency band within which a main antenna can perform transmission and reception. SOLUTION: A switching means is provided for switching a sub antenna for performing diversity reception in cooperation with a main antenna for transmission/reception, from functioning as an antenna to functioning as a parasitic element. The main antenna and the sub antenna are provided to be spaced a predetermined distance apart so as to generate multiple resonance. The sub antenna 12 is made to function as a parasitic element to generate multiple resonance so as to widen the frequency band within which the main antenna 11 can perform transmission and reception.
