PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To designate a method of displaying a display screen that becomes a sub display screen of a main display screen. SOLUTION: In a reproduction device, information necessary for displaying picture-in-picture is described in pip_metadata. The pip_horizontal_position indicates the X-coordinate of the upper left corner of a sub display screen where secondary video on a primary video frame is displayed and a pip_vertical_position indicates the Y-coordinate of the upper left corner of the sub display screen where the secondary video on the primary video frame is displayed. The pip_cale describes information indicating the size of the sub display screen where the secondary video is displayed. For example, it describes the ratio of the size of the secondary video with respect to the primary video, the reduction ratio of the secondary video to the original image, or information indicating how many pixels constitute the horizontal length and the vertical length of the sub display screen.
