PURPOSE: A VoIP gateway apparatus for switching a DECT and a method using the same are provided to remove a noise for a wired terminal by using an RF antenna and turning off a DECT-based wireless communication standby signal. CONSTITUTION: When a wire terminal transmits a VoIP call to an external terminal, a control unit(550) transfers the VoIP call to the external terminal by controlling a wired interface(510). The control unit stops the operation of an RF antenna connected to the DECT wireless interface. Accordingly, the noise for the wired terminal is removed through the RF antenna. When VoIP call connection is terminated by the wired terminal or the external terminal, the control unit switches the RF antenna into an operating state.
