PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer which can easily use sequential number printing, and to provide a method for controlling the same.SOLUTION: When a printing key is operated by a user after a character string is input through a keyboard, a controller detects a keyword for sequential number printing containing a number out of the input character string (Step S101). When the keyword for the sequential number printing is detected, the controller displays an operation selection menu on an indicator and inquires of a user whether the sequential number printing is implemented or not (Step S104). When implementation of the sequential number printing is indicated by the user, the controller displays a printing number input screen on the indicator and allows a user to specify the printing number at the time of performing the sequential number printing (Step S106). Then, the controller performs the sequential number printing of only the specified printing number and completes the flow. |
