PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server device allowing communication connection even when capabilities do not coincide with each other between terminals in the communication connection.SOLUTION: In an IP exchange device BT, a codec capability table 141 obtained by relating respective terminal numbers of respective SIP terminals T11-T1i and gateways GW1, GW2 to codecs each possessed by each of them is previously stored in a storage part 14 before communication connection; the codec capability table 141 is consulted in the communication connection; when the codecs coincide with each other, communication between an originating terminal and a reception terminal is connected by a peer-to-peer manner by using the codecs which coincide with each other; and, when the codecs do not coincide with each other, the communication between the originating terminal and the reception terminal is connected by being led in a time switch 16. |
