The stator (1) has radially extending carrier teeth (4) for supporting coils and radially outer lying, individual carrier segments (3), which are circularly set and are carriers of the carrier teeth. The carrier segments extend approximately over the axial length of the stator. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of stator.
