NOVEL LACTOBACILLUS PLANTARUM AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A composition containing Lactobacillus plantarum CJLP55 for treating bowl diseases and enhancing immunity is provided to ensure excellent acid resistance and attachment of intestinal epithelial cell. CONSTITUTION: A Lactobacillus plantarum CJLP55(KCTC 11401BP) is isolated and identified from traditional fermentation foods. The fermentation foods are Kimchi, fermented soybean paste and soybean sauce. A composition for preventing or treating and enhancing immunity bowl diseases contains Lactobacillus plantarum CJLP55. The composition is used for preventing or treating immune diseases caused by Th1/Th2 unbalance. The immune diseases are allergic diseases, atopy, cancer or autoimmune diseases.
