PURPOSE: An agitator is provided to improve the reliability of an agitator by enabling an expert to monitor the state of an agitator and controlling it. CONSTITUTION: An agitator includes a control panel, an impeller axis(31), an impeller(33), an impeller diagnosis sensor, an impeller indirect diagnosis sensor, a reducer diagnosis sensor, and a communications interface part. The control panel comprises an input unit and an alarm generating part. The impeller axis revolves with a drive motor(21) and a reducer(22) controlled by the control panel. The impeller is combined with the end of the impeller axis by a hub(32). The impeller diagnosis sensor directly detects the state of the impeller and the hub. The impeller indirect diagnosis sensor detects indirectly detects the state of the impeller. The reducer diagnosis sensor indirectly detects the state of the reducer. The communications interface part transmits the detection result of the impeller diagnosis sensor, the reducer diagnosis sensor, and the impeller indirect diagnosis to a remote computer.
