PURPOSE: A fan-rotation sensing apparatus is provided to improve the service life of a vacuum pump, since the rotation of a fan is sensed and the vacuum pump is stopped before the temperature of the vacuum pump rises. CONSTITUTION: A fan-rotation sensing apparatus comprises a fan(200), infrared ray sensors(500,600), amplifiers(700,800), and a relay(900). The infrared ray sensor is attached to the vane in order to sense the rotation of the fan. The infrared ray sensor transmits infrared ray to the vane during the rotation of the vane. The infrared ray sensor receives receiving signals which is bumped into the vane. The amplifier amplifies the receiving signals. The relay is operated by the amplified signals.
