PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To timely detect a winding defect of a wire wound around an inner tube.SOLUTION: A wire-reinforced layer inspection device 10 is provided to a wire winding apparatus 20 for winding a wire W around the inner tube rubber 14, and includes a surface profile-measuring apparatus 50 for measuring the surface profile of a wire-reinforced layer 16, and a controller 70 for detecting a winding defect of the wire-reinforced layer 16 based on the measured surface profile. The surface profile-measuring apparatus 50 includes a laser beam emitting part 52 for radiating the wire-reinforced layer 16 with a laser beam 54, and a measuring part 56 for making reflected laser beam 55 form an image on an image sensor to measure the surface profile of the wire-reinforced layer 16. The surface profile of the wire reinforced layer 16 is measured by the apparatus 50 every 90° rotation of a turntable 24, and the controller 70 detects the winding defect of the wire W by comparing the latest image data with the most recent image data taken therein. |
