PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable body inspection device capable of immediately confirming a failure place by accurately performing the appearance inspection of a cable body.SOLUTION: The cable body inspection device has an inspection starting position detecting means 10 for detecting an inspection starting position of the cable body, a moving distance measuring means 11 for measuring a moving distance of the cable body changing according to the movement of the cable body, an inspection position calculating means 12 for calculating an inspection position in the cable body from the detected inspection starting position and a measured moving distance measured value, an imaging means 5 for imaging a surface of the cable body synchronously with the moving distance of the cable body, a storage means 13 for correspondingly storing an imaged image with the inspection position, an image processing means 14 for successively processing the successively stored image, and a quality determining means 15 for determining the quality of the appearance of the cable body based on the processed image. |
