PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel clock forming apparatus and so forth which can highly accurately compensate an error in the scanning speed even when a plurality of scanning beam detectors cannot be arranged.SOLUTION: This pixel clock forming apparatus 111 includes: a high frequency clock generating means 1 which generates a high frequency clock; a comparison means 5 which compares the time interval of synchronizing signal which is periodically input and a target value, and outputs an error to the target value; an offset error removing means 6 which calculates and removes the offset error value of the time interval which is constant in the pixel clock apparatus from the error being output by the comparison means 5, and calculates a corrected error; a frequency operation means 7 which calculates the set value of a pixel clock frequency conforming to the corrected error, and outputs a frequency designating signal which designates the pixel clock frequency conforming to the calculated set value of the pixel clock frequency; and a pixel clock generating means 4 which generates the pixel clock of the pixel clock frequency based on the frequency designating signal being output by the frequency operation means 7. |
