Provided are a stack type electrode assembly to prevent the separation of a positive electrode and a negative electrode from a separator, thereby preventing internal shortage and improving safety, and a secondary battery containing the electrode assembly. A electrode assembly(300) comprises at least one penetration hole(340) formed at a certain part; and a pair of fastening members (a female fastener(600) and a male fastener(700)) which are inserted into the penetration hole at the inside of a battery case so as to be fixed, wherein a female fastener which has an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the penetration hole, and the outer surface of the female fastener is closely adhered to the penetration hole when the male fastener is combined with the female fastener inserted into the penetration hole.
