METHOD FOR SELECTING ACCESS POINT

A method for selecting an access point is provided to select the access point in consideration of channel interference caused by using the same channel so that communication can be more smoothly performed. A method for selecting an access point comprises: calculating a frame error rate and a value of an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) of a packet transmitted to a current channel(S400~S402); calculating a value of an RSSI of a received packet according to scanning of a predetermined access point; and selecting an access point, which uses a channel different from the current channel and has the largest RSSI value, as an access point which will be roamed if each of the calculated RSSI value and the frame error rate is more than a threshold value(S405).
