PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording power-adjusting method capable of highly precisely setting the optimum recording power, and to provide an information recording method and an optical information recording medium.SOLUTION: Trial-writing is performed by using a plurality of kinds of recording powers Pw, m (m is an integer), and modulation factors M, m corresponding to the recording powers Pw, m are then calculated. Predetermined calculation is performed by using reference asymptotic-approximated power Pasy-ref and reference recording start power Pws-ref predetermined for each medium, thereby calculating optimal asymptotic-approximated power Pasy-opt. Evaluation values S, m=M, m×(Pw, m-Pasy-opt) are calculated by using the optimum asymptotic-approximated power Pasy-opt. When a relationship between the recording powers Pw, m and the evaluation values S, m is linearly approximated, recording power Pw where an evaluation value S is zero is calculated as optimum recording start power Pws-opt. Optimum recording power Pw-opt is obtained by performing predetermined calculation for the optimum recording start power Pws-opt. |
