PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system apparatus mounting a disk array system, wherein when a system operation disabled state is generated due to a software fault factor, the system operation disabled state is automatically restored to a system operation available state by autonomously performing fault detection and restoration operation with minimum components for controlling the disk array system.SOLUTION: The disk array system 103 connected to a master apparatus 101 determines a system operation state of the master apparatus 101 by performing monitor and control of a communication state of the disk array system 103 with an OS driver which resides in a system memory of the master apparatus 101. When communication between the disk array system 103 and the OS driver is canceled in the monitor and control, the display array system 103 determines that the master apparatus 101 is in a system operation disabled state and autonomously perform the system restoration processing of the master apparatus 101 on the basis of previously sampled backup data. |
