PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branching device of a new traffic system saving a space by narrowing an interval between two tracks arranged parallel to each other, and securing safe and sure travelling by eliminating a zone where travelling guide wheels are not guided by guide rails.SOLUTION: The branching device includes: a cut-off area 12 where the guide rails 4, 5 of the two tracks A and B are cut off in an area of the branch track; a first movable rail 21 of the outer guide rail 4 of the track A in the cut-off area 12; a second movable rail 22 of the inner guide rail 5; a third movable rail 23 of the outer guide rail 4 of the other track B; a fourth movable rail 24 of the inner guide rail 5; and a control device 30. One of base ends of each of the movable rails 21, 22, 23 is formed to be rotatable. The control device rotates the movable rails so that the movable rails may be parallel to the tracks when a vehicle 1 is made to travel without being branched, and that the first movable rail 21 and the fourth movable rail 24 may be connected to each other and the second movable rail 22 and the third movable rail 23 may be connected to each other when the vehicle 1 is made to travel along the branch track. |
