摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of any trouble that the detected value of a linear scale is deviated from the actual position of a machining nozzle as a travel-driving mechanism is heated, and a nozzle supporting unit is thermally expanded in a laser beam machine comprising the nozzle supporting unit for movably supporting the machining nozzle in the predetermined pitch feed direction, the travel-driving mechanism for supporting the nozzle supporting unit and the machining nozzle in a traveling manner in the predetermined traveling direction across the pitch feed direction, and the linear scale for detecting the position of the machining nozzle in the pitch feed direction.SOLUTION: A laser beam machine 1 includes a temperature difference detection means 7 for detecting the temperature difference between the temperature at the position in a vicinity of a travel driving mechanism R in a nozzle supporting unit (an X-axis unit 322) and the room temperature, and a control device S for controlling the position in the pitch feeding direction of a machining nozzle 3 while correcting the value detected by a linear scale 6 based on the temperature difference detected by the temperature difference detection means 7.
