PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine hood which increases an opening area of a vent hole and increases a volume of cooling air to be sucked and discharged while securely preventing a side plate from swelling.SOLUTION: This engine hood 23 includes a ceiling plate 30 positioned above an engine 12, front and rear long side plates 31, 32 and right and left short side plates 34, 33 provided continuously with the ceiling plate 30, and vent holes 35-37 allowing cooling air to pass therethrough. This engine hood 23 includes a restraining member 40 for linking a beam member 38 fixed firmly on the ceiling plate 30 to the long side plate 31 on a front side, and a restraining member 41 for linking the beam member 38 to a reinforcing member 39 of the long side plate 32 on a rear side. |
