A device configured to prevent a situation in which the connection between a syringe and a vial is inadvertently not performed. A holding means (4) for constituting a connection device (1) is provided with: a syringe holding member (6) mounted to a syringe (2); a cannula holding member (7) provided with a double-head cannula (5) and configured in such a manner that, in a pre-use state, the cannula holding member (7) is located at a receded position at which the cannula holding member (7) has receded from the syringe holding member and, in a use state, the cannula holding member (7) is located at an advanced position at which the cannula holding member (7) is being in contact with the syringe holding member; and a separation prevention means (42) which, with the cannula holding member located at the receded position, engages with the syringe to prevent the syringe from separating from the syringe holding member. The separation prevention means is configured in such a manner that, when the cannula holding member has been positioned at the advanced position, the separation prevention means unlocks the engagement between the separation prevention means and the syringe to permit the syringe to separate from the syringe holding member. |
