The sheet (10) has a sheet metal region (12) provided with drawing elements (16) i.e. drawbeads (18), interrupted at an open point (24). The open point is evenly formed between the drawing elements and/or the drawbeads. The drawing elements and/or the drawbeads at the open point are arranged at a distance from approximately 10 mm to 20 mm to each other. The sheet region is formed as a flange, which limits a trough-shaped recess (14). The drawing elements peripherally surround the recess, which is brought into the sheet by deep drawing. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a deep drawing sheet.
