The stand (1) has a front kinematic device (3) staying in an effective connection with a front loading device. A rear kinematic device (5) stays in an effective connection with the front loading device. The front device is provided with a front holding unit, and the rear kinematic device is provided with a rear holding unit. A vehicle cover is held, positioned or fastened opposite to the test stand by the holding units in a clamping manner. The front kinematic device comprises a support structure (4), where the stand creates reproducible testing conditions during load test of the cover. An independent claim is also included for a method for examining a vehicle cover.
