FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: gun drill comprises cutting head with coolant outlet communicated with coolant feed channel arranged on remote end surface of the hollow tail part with chip discharge groove with V-shaped lengthwise channel on outer surface. It comprises also inner coolant feed channel. Note here that cutting head cutting edge is made from cermet hard alloy. At least, one part of cutting head I sliding contact with inner edges, except for its cutting section, consists of the material other than cermet that features hardness higher than that of cermet hard alloy. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency of machining due to higher cutting speed. ^ 5 cl, 7 dwg, 3 ex, 1 tbl |
