The arrangement has an assembly aid element (1) for attaching a substructure to a board for forming a wall, cover or cladding. The aid element includes a part holding the board to be attached and another part supported on the substructure, where the board includes inner- and outer surfaces and front- and rear longitudinal edges. The aid element and the board are formed such that the aid element completely remains in the wall, cover or cladding as a lost component. The aid element is completely arranged within an outer contour of the board. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a board to a substructure.
