PURPOSE: A high-performance insulating material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the insulating performance at a high temperature and to reduce fuel cost and the emission of carbon dioxide since the insulating material is formed from a silica fabric, which is weaved with an insulating compressed material and a silica fiber. CONSTITUTION: A high-performance insulating material is formed from a silica fabric, which is weaved with an insulating compressed material and a silica fiber. The insulating compressed material is formed by the compression of metal oxides and a fibrous material. The metal oxide is one of titanium oxide, zirconium oxide and their combination. Inorganic powder material is stuck to the fibrous material. The silica fabric is weaved with silica fiber and surrounds the insulating compressed material. |
