PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control circuit and a display control method, capable of displaying data using a display memory without need of preparation time, while reducing power consumption caused by an off-leak current in the display memory.SOLUTION: A display control circuit includes: the display memory, to which power is supplied via a power terminal, for storing the display data to be displayed on a display device; a power unit connecting the power terminal to a power source or ground according to a request; and a control unit requesting the power unit to connect the power terminal to the ground, when the display device is shifted to a standby mode in which no display is made, and after the lapse of a predetermined time period from the request, requesting the power unit to connect the power terminal to the power source even in the standby mode. |
