PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attain a high resolution without reducing an image forming performance in a light emitting device.SOLUTION: The light emitting device 100 is provided with a plurality of unit circuits U, data lines 2 and control circuits 50. The unit circuit U includes a light emitting element P, and inputs designation data for designating the emission luminance and holds it, and actuates the light emitting element P based on the designation data. The data line 2 is commonly used for transmitting the designation data to a fixed number of unit circuits U located in a line in the first pitch along the advance direction of a photosensitive face 302 among a plurality of unit circuits U. The control circuit 50 makes the designation data concerning the spot image composing dots which adjoin in the advance direction of the photosensitive face 302 transmitted to a fixed number of unit circuits U through the data line 2. Between adjoining unit circuits U among a fixed number of unit circuits U, the emission period is shifted at a fixed period. The fixed period and the first pitch are determined so that each of spot images may include the part which does not lap with other spot images. |
