PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical member for a gas generator housing which is light, has good resistance to pressure, is easily manufactured, and can be used for housing, and to provide a gas generator using the same.SOLUTION: The cylindrical member 10 includes: a cylindrical section 13 made of resin; and a linear reinforcement member 15 which is arranged in a spiral manner in a circumferential direction on an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical section 13. At least part of the reinforcement member 15 is embedded on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical section 13. The cylindrical member has good resistance to pressure owing to the action of the linear reinforcement member 15, and can be used as the cylindrical housing of the gas generator for an air bag device. |
